“Under the leadership of St. John's College, Anchal, National Service Scheme and District Women and Child Development Office, Govt of Kerala, Kollam organized 'Kanal Fest’ on 27 October 2023. ICDS Supervisor Smt. Ambika Antharjanam presided over the program and Gender Specialist Smt. Arya S. Kumar delivered the welcome speech. The college principal Dr Nisha Thomas had inaugurated the programme. Motivational trainer, Mr. Binu George conducted an awareness class on the topic "Gender Equality, Gender Relations" followed by a session on defence training. The training was provided under the leadership of Kollam Rural Kerala Police, who are female self-defense trainers. NSS Program Officer Dr Sunitha Grace Zacharia had given the vote of thanks to the programme.
