Mission

St. John’s College has a unique identity. It is a lighted lamp set on the mountain to enlighten generations with insights, to wipe out ignorance, poverty and evils; and to equip the individual and the society of a rural mountainous area with the standards of modern life. It is the realization of one of the lofty aspirations of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Major Archi Episcopal Church. The educational development of the region justifies her existence.

Vision

We, the Johnsians, are committed to the promotion of justice, social development, preservation of the integrity of creation, national integration, tolerance and respect for all religions and responsible use of cybernetics and mass media, thereby fostering a wholesome and simple life-style by combating the evils of corruption, violence, drug abuse and criminalization, thus empowering the marginalized, particularly the women.

This college stands for academic excellence, development of skills and character formation based on the love of God and service of man as envisioned by Jesus Christ, with a view to producing “intellectually mature, morally upright, socially committed and spiritually inspired” men and women of India.
