RDC Lecture Series- 02

Research and Development Cell (RDC) of our college in association with IQAC has organized RDC Lecture Series on 01 March 2024 in the Conference Hall. Dr. Arjun D V, an early-career researcher and a science enthusiast, Ph.D graduate from the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences, Germany is the resource person for the day.

National Seminar

The Department of Mathematics in collaboration with KSCSTE is going to organize a National Seminar on Applications of Linear Algebra in Machine Learning on 27-28 February 2024. Dr Raju K George, Dr Deepak Mishra, and Dr Sumitra S from IIST, Thiruvananthapuram and Dr Jajati Keshari Sahoo from BITS-Pilani are the Resource Persons for the programme.

Dr. Sajitha Biju, a Plant Scientist working in the School of Agriculture and Food, the Faculty of Science, The University of Melbourne is the resource person for the day.

Young Innovators Programme (YIP) club of our college is organizing a one day workshop "Arteria- Workshop on Resin Art" on 01 February 2024 in the Audio Visual Hall. Dr K Murugesan, Assistant Professor, SVM College, Krishnagiri is the resource person of the programme.

Invited Talk

Under the auspices of PG and Research Department of Environmental Science, a session was organized on "Water Purification; An Overview of the Fresh Water Plant Process and Process Control System" on 18 January 2024 in the Conference Hall. The Resource Person for the programme is Mr Shine Thomas, System Applications System Analyst PWD, Water Treatment Department, Philadelphia, USA.

Under the auspices of Commerce club in association with Anti Narcotic Cell, an Anti Drug Awareness Campaign was organized in our college auditorium on 09 November 2023. Harilal S, Alumni of our college and Civil Excise Officer, Excise Circle Office, Punalur was the resource person for the programme.

Build Your Career- One Day Seminar

Under the auspices of Department of Commerce in collaboration with NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation), a Skill Development Programme was conducted on 01 November 2023 at college auditorium. Mr Sreejith P R, Career Counsellor, FSI (Finishing School India) was the resource person in the programme.

Kanal Fest 2023

Under the leadership of St. John's College, Anchal, National Service Scheme and District Women and Child Development Office, Govt of Kerala, Kollam organized 'Kanal Fest’ on 27 October 2023. ICDS Supervisor Smt. Ambika Antharjanam presided over the program and Gender Specialist Smt. Arya S. Kumar delivered the welcome speech. The college principal Dr Nisha Thomas had inaugurated the programme. Motivational trainer, Mr. Binu George conducted an awareness class on the topic "Gender Equality, Gender Relations" followed by a session on defence training.

The training was provided under the leadership of Kollam Rural Kerala Police, who are female self-defense trainers. NSS Program Officer Dr Sunitha Grace Zacharia had given the vote of thanks to the programme.

One Day Seminar

Under the auspices of PG and Research Department of Environmental Science and Department of Botany, a One day Seminar has organised on 15 September in observance of International Day for the Preservation of Ozone Layer along with Conservation initiatives of Medicinal plants at the Botanical Garden. Dr Jude Emmanuel, Environmental Scientist was the resource person.

Under the auspices of Department of English and IQAC, a One day Seminar on "Gender Studies and Resistance" was organised on 07 September 2023 in the Conference Hall. Dr Harsha Viswanath, Assistant Professor of English, MSM College, Kayamkulam was the Resource Person.

Under the auspices of Research Department of Chemistry in association with Research and Development Cell, a One Day Seminar was conducted on “Emerging Trends and Opportunities in Chemical Sciences” on 08 August 2023 at Seminar Hall. Dr Sreeprasanth Pulinthanathu Sree, Faculty Member, Department of Material Engineering, KU Leuven, Belgium was the Resource person. Seminar Topic: Embarking on a Journey from Chemistry Student to Material Scientist: Exploring the Boundaries of Nano Materials Research.

International Chalachitra Seminar

Department of Malayalam in collaboration with Kerala State Chalachitra Academy conducted three days International Chalachitra Seminar on July 10-12, 2023 at College Auditorium.
